Privacy Policy

1.1 Information You Provide

The App does not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information directly.

When you submit a bug report through the in-app form, the report is sent via your device's mail client directly from your email address to our support address. We receive only what you choose to include in the report, plus automatically attached device metadata (app version, OS version, platform).

1.2 Purchase Information

When you make a purchase within the App (Recipe Book — $4.99 one-time unlock), the transaction is processed entirely by Apple App Store or Play Store. We use RevenueCat to verify your entitlement status. RevenueCat receives a transaction confirmation from the platform but does not receive your full payment card details. We receive only your entitlement status (whether you have purchased the premium unlock). For more information, see the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

1.3 Analytics Data

We use Aptabase — a privacy-friendly, open-source analytics platform — to collect anonymous usage data. Aptabase is designed with privacy in mind: it does not use cookies, does not fingerprint devices, and does not collect personally identifiable information.

Data collected includes:

• App version, platform (iOS/Android), OS version
• Country (derived from IP address; IP is not stored)
• Anonymous session events: screens viewed, features used, conversion actions (no values entered by you are recorded)

1.4 Crash Reports

We use Firebase Crashlytics (by Google) to receive crash and error reports. This data includes:

• Device type, OS version, app version
• Stack trace at the time of the crash
• A random installation identifier (not linked to your identity)

No personal content you enter into the App is included in crash reports. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.

We use the information described above only to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the App
• Process and verify in-app purchases
• Understand how the App is used so we can improve it
• Diagnose crashes and fix bugs
• Respond to bug reports you submit voluntarily

• Your name, email address, or any account information
• The values, recipes, or measurements you enter into the App
• Your precise location
• Advertising identifiers for targeted advertising purposes

The App does not show ads and does not sell data to advertisers.

We work with the following third-party services to operate the App. Each is bound by its own privacy policy.

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

• Analytics data(Aptabase) is aggregated and anonymous. Retained per Aptabase's standard retention policy.
• Crash data(Firebase Crashlytics) is retained for 90 days per Firebase's default policy.
• Purchase records (RevenueCat) are retained for as long as needed to verify your entitlement.
• Bug reports sent by email are retained in our email inbox for as long as needed to resolve the issue.

All data stored locally on your device (recipes, settings, section order) remains on your device only. We cannot access it.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent)

Because the App does not collect personally identifiable information, most data we hold cannot be linked back to you as an individual.

The App does not use tracking technologies for advertising purposes. If your device shows an App Tracking Transparency prompt, selecting “Don't Allow” will not affect the App's functionality. You can disable analytics data collection via your device settings at any time.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. All data transmitted to third-party services uses HTTPS encryption. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum digital age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us at support@app-crumbs.com and we will delete it.

Aptabase processes data in the EU. Firebase Crashlytics and RevenueCat may process data in the United States or other countries. Where required, appropriate safeguards are applied in accordance with applicable data protection law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the App or on our website. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
